BROOKLYN, NY — You are looking live at the stage here in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center, where tonight numerous kids will find out what their future holds.

Which team believes in them enough to spend a precious draft pick and give them the chance they’ve been working toward for their entire life?

Which team will use tonight as a chance to make a trade and push their chips all-in?

And perhaps most importantly, who will wear the best suit of the night?

These questions and more will be answered over the next few hours here at the NBA Draft 2015. I’m in the front row and will be here all night. Come along for the ride!

***

Who’s going first overall? One name that’s been batted around is former Duke big man Jahlil Okafor, who just sat down at the NBA TV desk…

***

Looks like it could be an exciting night…

***

Lot of guys wearing maroon jackets in the green room. Perhaps getting some fashion inspiration from an ’80s source…

***

Last thing before we start…rookie selfie moment…

***

Also of note, the Hornets dropped an alternate jersey tonight…

***

First pick is in the books: The Wolves go big…

And now the intrigue begins…

***

Lakers are on the clock with the number 2 pick. In the meantime, maybe we should call the Green Room the Blue Room?

***

The Lakers decide to go with D’Angelo Russell out of Ohio State. Bit of a surprise, and a huge cheer from the crowd here in Brooklyn when the pick is announced.

***

After a tribute to the great Harvey Pollack, Commissioner Adam Silver announces the third pick: The Sixers take Duke’s Jahlil Okafor. They’ve been drafting for the future, but the future might be right now…

***

The Knicks select Kristaps Porzingis, and the Barclays Center explodes with mostly boos. Welcome to New York, Porzingis!

***

And at least one Knick fans was a but surprised/underwhelmed by the Porzingis selection…

***

Although, could a trade be in the works?

***

The Magic make their move, shoring up their backcourt…

***

With the sixth pick, the Kings draft another big man, which either gives depth behind DeMarcus Cousins or — conspiracy alert! — could give them a chance to move Cousins…

Also worth noting…

***

With the 7th pick, the Nuggets take Emmanuel Mudiay

***

Number 8 is Stanley Johnson, out of Arizona, who seems like fun…

***

FRANK THE TANK! FRANK THE TANK!

***

With the 10th pick in the first round, the Heat get Justise Winslow out of Duke, which many people are already saying might be the steal of the draft so far…

***

The Pacers take 19 year old Myles Turner…lot of upside with Turner…

***

D’Angelo gets it…

***

The Jazz get another of Kentucky’s bigs…

***

Meanwhile, there may be a trade in the works, reports ESPN’s Marc Stein

***

Devin Booker goes to the Suns at number 13. Fourth Kentucky player in the top 13…

***

Gonna be a few mouthfuls in Utah this season…

***

The Thunder go small, with the point guard who has rocketed up the draft charts the last few weeks…

***

With the 15th pick, the Hawks take Kelly Oubre, who will apparently be on the move…

***

Cameron Payne did a quick interview in the arena here in Brooklyn, and had the line of the night thus far…

***

Boston goes backcourt…

***

While the Bucks go for a swingman…

***

And at 18, the Rockets go for another Wisconsin player, Sam Dekker…

***

And Jerian Grant gets drafted by Washington, which is apparently really a pick by the Hawks, although it sounds like he may not be in the ATL for very long…

***

Meanwhile, under the stands, some players are meeting their new coaches…

***

With the 20th pick, the Toronto Raptors take…

***

And at 21, the Mavericks go for a big two guard…

***

The Bulls go after Bobby Portis from Arkansas, who at least one site had an idea might go at 22…

***

I’m not watching the Draft on TV, but a few NBA players are and are commenting on the same things…

***

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was the 23rd pick by Portland, but his pants were a lottery selection…

***

Meanwhile, Terry Rozier was drafted by the Celtics, and celebrated by jumping in the pool at his draft party…

***

The Cavs have drafted Tyus Jones, but the Minnesota kid may not have to leave home…

***

The Grizz get a big man from LSU…hope he can grit and grind…

***

Spurs is as Spurs does…

***

The Lakers take the son of an NBA (and dunk contest) legend…

***

The first round is running down, but the Boston Celtics used the 28th pick to grab RJ Hunter out of Georgia State…

***

After fans chanted his name for five minutes, the Brooklyn Nets make it official, selecting Chris McCullough out of Syracuse with the 29th pick…

***

A hip injury hurt his draft status enough to drop him down the first round…which left him perfectly positioned to be picked by the champs, the Golden State Warriors…

***

So that ends our first round live blog. Stay tuned to NBA.com for the rest of the second round and to see how all that shakes out. Congrats to all young men who were drafted — see you in the league soon!
